Lots of interesting exhibits to see and quizzes to go round with for the kids. Good value for an hour or so in the dry!

Having read glowing reviews I was a tad underwhelmed. There's a fair amount packed in a small space but the displays are very wordy and a bit tired. Not much for kids, although they do get a little treasure hunt quiz. Probably of most interest to history buffs due to all the local records held there, or those with the... More

This local museum was probably one of the best labelled and informative that I have visited. It gave a very good insight to local life. A must visit

A small museum but is well worth a visit , packed with lots of interesting items and plenty of folders with interesting information for you to read, the quiz which was given to my children age 12 and 16 was great, it kept there interest , very helpful staff, we will definitely be back next year,

Luckily we were staying in Gairloch for 2 weeks so we made sure we visited the Heritage Museum. Small it might be but what a wealth of interesting items crammed into the space! We received a warm welcome & asked about the quiz for children. Although my nephew has special needs, we were given an age appropriate quiz sheet &... More

This museum's collection is as higgldy piggldy as you'd expect. From a full size lighthouse light to boats, stuffed animals, a replica croft and a village shop to a modern art exhibition displaying some brilliant works by Gillian Penney. The quiz is perfect for kids - kept our one interested for over an hour. Enjoy!

We visited the museum on a recent holiday - we were welcomed by a friendly lady who gave my children (aged 11 & 8) the 2 age related quizzes to do which made the visit even more interesting for them as they loved looking for the information they needed. It was a fascinating history of life in the area over... More
