The post office here has a station set up in front where you can stamp a page in your passport. Kids as well as adults seemed to enjoy it.

Nice to see and walk inside. Had to get our Yukon/Alaska Visitor PASSPORT stamped and this was a nice stop to check out!

Neat to have a post office with such history! This post office is found a little ways into the town, just around the corner from the Matthew Watson General Store. At the post office, you can take the walking trail behind it which leads to a bridge and lake and beach area.

The post office is authentic, so you can send your post cards that you just purchased in Carcross. The building is from the early 1900s and has a bit of charm too. The postmaster was friendly as where her resident dogs. A must see of exploring Carcross.

A great souvenir is a commemorative Canada Post stamp. They are open nearly all the time, about a block from "downtown" on the road paralleling the Nares River.

We visited Carcross as part of our Cruise Shore Excursion. We get there by Yukon Train. This historic post office is one of the few objects to see there. It is cute and very interesting look.

Nothing special about this very old working Post Office, charming nevertheless! Located right near the center of town, it still brings a few tourists around for curiosity's sake if not for historical significance. I like photographing buildings from the past and this Post Office makes a nice addition to my collection. I commend the people who are volunteering their time... More

I have a friend who is helping restore this little historical gem so he took my by on my first visit to Carcross. What an incredible bit of history in this already cool little town! Stop in, get stamped, and soak in the history of an era gone by. Love the Pony Express poster... orphans preferred!

If you are looking for excitement, or danger this is not the spot. If you are looking for small town charm this is a must see. I suggest you mail yourself a post card from here.
