Great spot to go for sunset views. Came here our first night on Easter island and there’s quite a crowd that turn up. Worth getting there early to spend at least an hour over the actual sunset time.

By day we saw (somewhat) wild horses running in front of the ahus/moais. Beautiful ocean backdrop. If at all possible, watch the sunset here. There is a nice restaurant where you can eat outdoors while you watch the sunset. You can be entertained by the...More

We enjoyed a nice walk here after dinner at LaKaleta. It was our first sighting of the moai and whet our enthusiasm for our visit to Rana Raraku the next day

An easy stroll down the coast from town, one will find the restored Ahu Tahai, which is famous for the sunsets behind it. There is a sloping hill to the east , which provides plenty of room for viewing and photography or just a romantic...More

Ahu Tahai is one of the locations that has had restoration, so the Moai are all standing on their Ahu's or platforms. This location is close to the center of Hanga Roa, with the northern part of town basically wrapping around the site. This was...More

This is the closest ahu to Hanga Roa so if you are staying in any hotel here you can easily walk here. There are three restored platforms, one with five moai, one with one moai and the last with one moai with topknot and restored...More

Hi!) Mataveri airport is 7 kilometres from the city centre. The city is very small and the traffic is very small. So you'll have 20 minutes to get to the airport.
