You wouldn't want to leave Caracas without taking the Teleferico. It's cheap, fun for all the family, and takes you to the top of the Avila (well almost) without you having to break sweat. If you have the time and the energy I would recommend walking up - lots of beautiful routes to choose from - and tele down..

It's an experience in its own class: No matter what you eat or drink ('tho' Sibaris' hamburguers worth the trip, and the various crafts licours are wonderful with the climate and the view), just being there with beautifull Caracas at one side, the Caribean in the other and the most wonderfull sky you've ever taste above you

The place is actually pretty beautiful, but take care! 1- There is no water in the bathrooms. 2- No toilet paper also. 3- The vendors on the top of the mountain will NOT accept dollars. The cable car ride itself is pretty cool also, but I guess the view from the top of the mountain is "the real thing". Since... More

This is actually a really nice break from the city and not just because of escaping from the street chaos but to experience a very different part of Caracas with an amazing vegetation and at 2800 meters and with an spectacular view across the mountains and down to the coast. This is posible to experience if you are lucky and... More

It's a beautiful cableway of 3.5 km above the jungle, it's very, very high and kind of scary if you are afraid of heights but is very modern and secure, be sure to bring a jumper, I was wearing shorts and a sleeveless top and I was freezing. On the top if you are lucky the view is amazing but... More

I can't believe why some people gives it three stars because of the wheather (like if this review is to qualify it), that is just so stupid... The cable cart is fast, you can enjoy the sights and views, the sound of birds or wind, one issue I might say is that when you go up with others that aren't... More

Could imagine it would be great on a good day. Some pretty good city views on the way up before you hit the fog. Went on a week day and no queues. Cost was 10,000 Bs although sign at ticket office also said USD $15 for foreigners. Was advised to take both Bs and USD as apparently it can change... More

This is the new service to get into the highest point of Venezuela's capital city: Caracas. Sadly, venezuelan goverment took control a few years ago and services you can find on the top really comes down on quality and variety. Prices to use the service it's really cheap but services are not really good. Otherwise, view it's a gift from... More
