Went for a engagement sit down meal. Service was bad, prices well over the top and payment at the end a shambles. Didn't get asked if meal was ok, not even a glass of water poured, pheasant was dry. Get your own coffees at the bar and at extra cost. Had to go outside to a separate building in the... More

My wife and I found the restaurant at the English wine centre by accident and booked a table. The staff were friendly very efficient without being overwhelming and the choice on the menu whilst not being huge was sufficient and interesting. When served the portions were good the food excellent and well presented. The bottle of white English wine was... More

We accidentally came across it while travelling. Normally not an Aussie style wine tasting, but the owner obliged. The wines were very pleasant making it an enjoyable visit. Quite lights styles but plenty of subtle flavours. Prices were quite reasonable. Worth a visit for a pleasant surprise.

Third time we've been to the English wine centre and each time I think the food cannot get any better but it does. The menu changes frequently but the quality of the ingredients and the cooking is always top class. We have the 7 wine taster course which is great and all the wines are explained extremely well. The staff... More

We had a family reunion using the garden and one of the barns. The staff and the manager were very good and extremely welcoming. The venue is stunning and there is a well-stocked bar. The food was slightly disappointing; fairly basic, but it is still a venue I would use for a function.

I took a party of 12 people for an epicurean (good food and wine) dinner to the Centre. We had a wonderful time sampling some superb English wines to accompany excellent food. Colin and Sair were wonderful hosts - welcoming, courteous yet unobtrusive. Everyone in our party enjoyed the evening.

Thank Ian W
