Rough Road - Beautiful Falls - Not Really a "Hike"

The road getting to Triple falls is very rough. We were told we would need a 4-wheel drive vehicle to make it, but we made it just fine in my Buick Regal. We went on an afternoon after a morning of rain and a large storm system has passed through the night before. It was beautiful. We had read reviews... More

The road getting to these falls is very steep and rough. The drive is well worth the view that is only a short walk from the road.

As you've read, the road down to the falls is an adventure. We didn't have any trouble down or back in a 2WD truck. Short, easy hike and the falls were great.

The hardest part of this hike, is getting down the rough road to the trailhead. The actual hike is very short, but worth the drive to the nice waterfall area.

Beautiful little pond at the bottom of three decent sized waterfalls. Only thing that would have made it better was warmer weather so we could have swam!

Great place to have a picnic lunch. The hike is easy and the views are amazing. If you are a beginner it's a great place to start. Make sure you go up past the beautiful viewing area and step down the stairs to be up close and personal with the falls.

When the falls have plenty of water they are spectacular. Not big and not high, but beautiful. The road down the mountain is rough and going back up can be very difficult. Would be a great attraction, but getting there and back is not fun!! All 3 falls were streaming when we were there and it was great! Not sure... More

One of my favorite hikes. This is just one of several falls and cascades along this creek. I will return with my horse.

It rained the night before and we were told that the falls would be beautiful. Their is a sign on the road that says, 4 x 4 or high clearance vehicles only. We have an explorer that isn't 4 x 4 and it did fine. But my husband does have a 4 x 4 truck and knows how to navigate... More

It's a beautiful place to visit. The road leading to the water falls is not a paved one and it's very steep to ride. But it's totally worth it when you see three majestic streams of water pouring down and it will vanquish all your tiredness in an instant.
