Surprisingly a great place to spend an afternoon/evening or morning before or after going to the Guatika zoo/park that stays in the town at a 10 min. ride by car from the city centre. You can find shops and restaurants and for the Christmas a...More

This quaint little town in Boyacá, Colombia is about two hours norht of Bogota. It is clean and quiet, it is colonial and well preserved. They have feijoa, an endemic fruit that can be compared to guava, I believe they belong to the same family,...More

Great town square. Be sure to buy your bottle of sabajon, the local liquor specialty. It's best to visit with the Christmas lights but the charm is there year-round. There are a couple of good restaurants too... Boyaca Real on the square and Salvaje Amistoso...More

We spent 3 days here this week enjoying the great cool weather and beautiful surroundings. Tibasosa is a nice small town with some great shops and restaurants. Definitely a place not to miss if you are in the area.

Tibasosa is small, peaceful, and beautiful. It's best known for feijoa (a delicious green exotic fruit) and sabajon (a liqueur kind of like Baileys). Guatika is right on the outskirts and we had a great lunch in one of the restaurants. Definitely worth a visit.

Tibasosa is well known for two reasons: because its ruled by women only and its lots of different kind of flowers at display in the main plaza, cute little town if its in your way.
