Kericho Tea country
May 2020
driving through the beautiful panoramic view of Nandi hills, Muhoroni sugar e.t.c. to reach Kericho early evening , check in at the hotel. Kericho is a Tea country which has placed Kenya to be the world third largest Tea producer after India and Sri Lanka. There are beautiful rolling hills carpeted in neat, bright green tea bushes as far as you can see. The climate here is perfect for Tea with rain falling almost every afternoon. Kericho was named after Ole Kericho, a Maasai Chief who was killed in the battle by the Gusii in the 19th Century.

Beautiful

A must see and absolutely stunning. Such friendly people and extremely helpful. If you can try to get to the factories to see the process of how the tea is manufactured.

Stunning scenery
Jun 2018 • Friends
The tea plantations are incredible to explore, stunning scenery, amazing smell and very accessible.

Little bit surprised that there are no function rooms or tea rooms or small commercial outlets to sample the tea and explore the process of how tea is picked and packaged to make the shelves.

Lush Green Tea Gardens
Feb 2017 • Family
Greenery till your eyes see it. This is the place where green (Plantation) meets the blue (sky). It is so serene and peaceful. People here were wonderful. They helped me inside the gardens and see actually what it is. I was allowed to pluck the plants and put it in the bags. We bought tea also and there are so many varieties of tea available there. This is a perfect stop for a day picnic.

Beautiful....just beautiful

Tea as far as the eye can see in this region. We were taken through a plantation by Herman, and also got to buy tea from him. You get the most beautiful pics in the plantation! He showed us how the leaves are picked and some other details about how its grown etc. well worth the five dollars it cost. Would definitely visit again!

Simply Beautiful!
Sep 2016
I grew up in this little town but i must say it's one of the most beautiful places I know off. It is beautiful and very calm conducive for nice evening walks and even bike rides in the all weather roads that weave in and out of the tea plantations. Definitely check out the Arboretums within it. They are beautiful and perfect for picnics and hanging out during the day. Last time I checked, you didn;t have to pay to visit them
