I particularly was humbled by the description of slavery int he Cape and the stories of individual families, plus forced removals. Then there is excellent descriptive portrayal of the dangers of fracking.

The Graf Reinet Museum is one of those houses taking you back in time. You only realize how people lived and under what circumstances when houses and interior of former times are been preserved.

Excellent. Shows a huge amount of town history. Main house exhibits the antiques, photograph selection, historical aspects of the house itself. Also had a very good special exhibition on the Robert Sobukwe who was born in the town and was the leader of the PAC. Outside exhibit areas show a collection of ossewas (ox wagons) and carts used for ambulances... More

Really loved my hour and a half spent in this museum. Not only did it highlight the dangers inherent in "Fracking" but I also learnt a ton about the great man, Robert Sobukwe. Highly recommend this place
