This is a great trip to caves occupied by early stone age man with signs of early human behaviour. There are artifacts excavated from the floor and walls - arrow heads, ochre for painting but no human remains. The informative guide made the experience come...More

There is no work going on in the caves- we visited 13b because it’s thought to be the oldest. In the cave the guide will point out several interesting things to support the thesis of the findings. Without that info, not much to see, with...More

There is a real spate of mitochondrial DNA research that pushes the origins of humankind back to 750,00 years. There is evidence that Homo sapiens, Neanderthal and Denisovans all had intertwined genetic histories that span three continents and hundreds of thousands of years. Point of...More

The most interesting archaological site I have visited whatsoever! The cave is a spectacular and unique place with remains from early homo sapiens. Most other caves are closed and accessible only for researchers.
