This is one of the best things I have ever done. From walking with 3 lion cubs, hand feeding and herding elephants through the bush, elephant rides and getting involved in the local town by teaching a special needs school basic English and Maths was just amazing.

What a wonderful holiday. We stayed in Serenity lodge over Christmas and woke up to wilderbeest and impalas grazing in the garden. Seeing the Ngamo pride of lions ready for release into the wild was inspiring, and horseback rides into the bush allowed us to get really close to all the wildlife. The giraffes were awesome. And the friendliness of... More

Stumbled upon this spot on my way to Malawi via Zambia and was pleasantly surprised. They have horses for lawnmowers, and lots of lions and elephant that can be viewed. Camping next to the dam was fantastic with nice spots looking over the water, electricity nearby, and clean bathrooms. Camping is cheap at $7 a pop but differs dramatically once... More

Spent xmas here and it was really wonderful. I learnt so much about the conservation work they're doing with the lions which is really great. There are a number of activities you can do whilst there including walking with the lion cubs which was truly magical. By staying here you will be supporting a worthwhile cause.

I spent four weeks as a photography volunteer for Antelope Park, generally covering the work done by researchers, other volunteers and the activities such as lion walks, elephant herding, horse polo and the community work that's done in the local town Gweru. I've been to Africa many, many times and I would hands down say with the utmost confidence that... More

We had very high hopes to have a wonderful and lifetime experience but we were overall disappointed about how scarce the animals were. We were constantly told that there are giraffes, kudos, etc but we failed to spot even a single one, despite low grass and dry season. There are only 4 elephants which are not even wild and are... Back in July (2016), I found myself with a career break. My only problem: where would I go and who would I go with? I decided on a volunteering programme and hit google. After reading up on hundreds of projects across the world, I stumbled across a hands-on Lion Conservation project at Antelope Park in Gweru, Zimbabwe. Call it a... More
