Interesting to visit this site off Gori. A fairly steep climb gets you to this abandoned cave city. The significance of each cave needs to be explained. There seems to be an audio guide available. Good view of the valley bellow. Not as large as...More

The place is historic and monumental. Those attracted in ancient history must definitely visit this attraction. In the way back, there is a hidden escape root that inspires visitors. The age of the caves goes back to the Iron Age.

This partly underground old pagan / christian city is worth the visit. You can visit old cave houses and (again) and old church. Nice views over the valley but do bring good walking shoes.

The caves are pretty unique, but the whole site could be done in an hour. Our guide was enthusiastic but we had struggles understanding each other in English.

I just loved the place. So historical with an amazing view. And if you have as amazing guide as we did, then do go on and ask questions and be rewarded.

Hello! Would Easy Spirit AP1 walking shoes be adequate for walking around Uplistsiche? I don't want to have to bring hiking boots if they aren't absolutely necessary. Thanks!

You'll be fine wearing your sneakers. Be ready for a bit of wind and sun, however.

Is it suitable to visit this place with a 10 month old baby in March? Will there be a flat ground for me to change her diapers (if required)?
