This is a place I would want to be whenever I'm in Trichy. It just mesmerises me. The temple itself is a highlight and after darshan, you can just sit and relax the view of the entire city from the top of the rock.

A busy day at the this Hindu temple with New Years ceremony. There are a lot of steps to climb, but it was doable to this senior citizen. People were friendly and courteous to us. the view from the top is spectacular.

When I was there, I have used Ola cabs (indian uber). It is cheaper than auto. Autowalas asking too much especially if you can not speak tamil. I recommend Ola if you don't want to use public transport.
