Well indeed, going into the caves might be a bit breath taking, both ways. The oil lamp guides however are rather unexperienced, not in guiding you literally, but in what they are telling you. They have not been trained in telling the history and traditions...More

It was really an interesting experience of going inside a dark cave that full of coffins and skeletons. Each family have their own 'section' in the cave/grave, which is interesting. And the fact that some are in he coffins and some are 'just there' ,...More

Well, this place is actually a cave with lot of skull and bones inside it. You should visit it with torch provided by tour guide there. It's up to you how much you pay him (the tour guide), but I and my friend gave him...More

Bizarre to see all the open coffins but it is interesting too. You will be guided around by a guide with an oil lamp.

Special place to visit. We were by ourselves and hired one of the guides that wait at the entrance with lights (for rp 50,000). This was a great plus! He told us a lot, which made the visit far more enjoyable. The light is rather...More

A must visit to understand the culture better! How death is something to look up to, to be honored and preserved It's amazing how they struggle to bury their loved ones in the best highest spots, how they tend to the deads also

The Londa is a must see in the Torajan itinerary list.... Traditional grave holes of the people who honors death as their sacred tradition. Spot the death statues (tau-tau) of the nobles, and also the local version of Romeo and Juliet that was buried together.
