Not the white sand area of DR but this is a beach where you can walk for miles. Very long, most of it is clean. Rough water but definitely still enjoyable.

Just Great as All. Lots of improvements. The ocean waves were very nice and the beach was clean. Maintenance workers cleaned the beach daily. Saturday and Sunday are Family days.

Beautiful scenery, lots of seaweed, and homeless dogs; heart-wrenching! Please bring food for them when you visit,

Cute little beach was clean and not crowded at all. The water was amazingly clear and refreshing, not cold at all. Numerous restaurants to choose from nearby. Didn't encounter any sharp shells or rocks. I even made a friend.. Crabby.

The beach is kept clean by the Hotels and Condos scattered along the beach, the swimming, shelling and the ocean are good along this beach and on the weekend the local people come and enjoy and have good time and all is problem free.

Funny enough that the ocean was full with seaweeds, except in the little bay in the front of my hotel, Caribe Paraiso. The beach itself is nice and clean, hotels and locals doing a good job to keep it decent.

The sand is nice and clean but there are a few sharp seashells and rocks. Some people were wearing swimming socks but we didn't and just had to be careful in a few places.

the restaurant in Juan Dolio seem to range from inexpensive to average costs, that's $30 to $50 US for two with a couple drinks. i usually pay with pesos, visas or amex and have never had an issue

Yes, there are several good reefs for snorkeling. If you walk a short distance, you can also find reefs that provide a break & knock the waves down for smooth snorkeling.
