We listened to the presentation of the Air Transat representative at Grand Bahia Luxury in Punta Cana and liked the sound of the VIP Safari. We had done a similar type of trip from the Bahia Puerto Plata 2 years ago and thought it was great so we were looking forward to this one even though it cost more money.... More

We were picked up in a jeep style vehicle (open sides, and plastic pull downs in case of rain), and drove to a plantation that had vanilla, cocoa, coffee & a few other spices. There was a small house that we toured and had the opportunity to taste some of their wares. On site, I had the Mama Juana &... More

My husband and I took this tour on the recommendation of our Air Transit rep and it definitely was worth it. We got to learn about Dominican culture that included seeing a school, a traditional house, cathedral, plantation and more. We got to sample lots of fruit, coffee, cacao, sugar cane juice and of course " mama Juana". All of... More

The tour included many experiences of the life there. We visited a home up a gravel road and saw a traditional Dominican home, where we saw cocoa seeds & coffee beans growing, then a demonstration grinding the cocoa beans into cocoa. We visited the Basilica, large and beautiful. We had a lobster lunch while floating down a river. We went... More

A great trip. We enjoyed all of the stops but felt a bit pressured to purchase items. We were thankful that the weather was cooperative. The open air vehicle wouldn't have been as enjoyable in rain or high heat.

What a great adventure! J.J., our tour guide, was a lot of fun! We experienced the way people live up in the mountains, growing chocolate and coffee. We then drove through the city, which was an experience in itself, to our waiting river cruise & lunch. After that we were taken to a sugar cane plantation, shown how sugar is... More

Great visit but a bit long ride in the truck. Best part is clearly the boat ride with the lunch and animation. Staff is very good and make the day very interesting Information given by the guide during the day were very pertinent in regards to their agriculture and typical life style

This excursion was way to long. it would have been really nice had it not been too long. We were picked up at 7:20am on an open seated bus with very small seats. We proceeded to pickup others from different resorts and off we went.. It took about an hour or so to get to each location. This made it... More

We all really enjoyed this, it was a great way to see different parts of the Dominican! Santiago our guide was amazing and very informative! They arrived at our hotel on time in a open air bus which was fun to ride in and the breeze was great! We visited a farm, the largest catholic church, did the river boat... More

This was the only excursion we found worth the money. We got a feel for the culture and the pace was perfect. Didn't feel rushed or like we were just killing time at any stop. The crew was friendly and fun. Good time.
