Strangely interesting wooden building museum

Strange concept but it was interesting to look at these wooden buildings. They have all been moved from the city to this one location. Some are over 300 years old

This is an open air museum and excellent example of a rich local culture going way back in time. The exhibits are immaculate, and organized to smallest details. Houses and their furnishings were all equally interesting, from the rich households to the modest peasant’s quarters. There is also a church, which is part of the museum and service is still... Museum with old houses and other buildings, brought here to be displayed. Two mills, one "Hollander" type. Most houses made of wood, but there were stone buildings as well. The whole surrounded by beautiful trees and garden.

This park is great place to visit Tour takes about three hours. In this time you can see old wood buildings, sit in the 19th century school desk or visit a wooden windmill inside. The museum staff are very friendly. They can tell about watched buildings and exhibits all day and you never get bored.

Come to see the open air museum of Kaszuby region. If possible be here on the 3rd weekend of July for the annual fair - we go there every year since 2011 and plan to continue next years.

We first went there by chance - we were near by, and we visited. We came back a week later for an annual "Wdzydze Fair" organized always on the third weekend of July and we were charmed by it. This year we went for the Fair for the third time and we still love it and we will go again... More

The park is nicely situated in woods upon a lake. It is filled with all kind of buildings. It is lively as everyone can take a part in mini workshops - on Kashubian language, painting, music. There are two restaurants with genuin Kashubian food. I recommend the one called Wygoda. The entry ticket is 12 zl, You have to reserve... More
