I am glad I was able to see little Petra. It complements the visit to Petra and can be seen as quick side trip. If you had physical limitations and could not hike the Monastery or High place of Sacrifice, little Petra add another dimension...More

Ofcourse, after catching sight of the main Petra historical complex, this would seem bland and boring but I quite enjoyed Little Petra. Its a very short walk and can be discovered fairly quickly. A few interesting momuments and caves. If time permits, do make the...More

We requested our tour agency to add little Petra to our next day itinerary since it was fairly en route. They agreed to do it at 25JD extra and we went for it. It was a nice visit. Size is nothing compared to Petra itself...More

Many go to Jordan for the main Petra site but small Petra is equally as impressive. It has a wonderful feel to it as you make your way through and the people are friendly and helpful

We quickly stopped at Little Petra (1 hour) on the way out of the area. Nothing compared to the more famous area but well worth a visit to see additional ruins.

We enjoyed a stop at little Petra, a much smaller less visited spot. The bedouin are also there. It was a brief enjoyable visit without any other tourists

Since it is not too long a walk or steep a climb,it is very comfortable to finish in 40 mins. The view of 3 colours in rock formations is a stark contrast to the sands below.Only a few caves with inscriptions and not many shops encounter...More

Visited late afternoon and we only saw four other tourists in the hour we spent exploring the site. Of course after Petra, it is smaller and not as spectacular, however it has its own unique charms. On arriving, we just walked in. No ticket booth,...More

Little Petra, is not visited by the bus tours, making it pleasant and quiet. A short walk through the area, no gate charge to enter. If you have time and enjoyed Petra, make this side trip. Again pleasant and quiet.

It's not close to Petra so you will need a car or to get a taxi there. Taxi's aren't cheap considering the place isn't that big, but if you have spare time and cash (I arrived from Amman at 10:30, checked into my hotel and...More

4pm would be too late as it gets darker early in January. You may not be able to explore the area fully.

You don't need a guide for Little Petra it is only a couple of hundred metre long. There are locl guides just after the car park if you really want one. It is far to far to walk to Petra itself, took us 15 mins on the coach.
