Climbing up to the Monastery takes effort, my recommendation is to do whatever to stay hydrated and avoid heat/sunstroke. But once up there, you forget all your sorrows you’ve been through to reach Monastery. The view is beyond magical!

You need to take the more than 800 steps to reach the top but is more than worth. The place is fantastic and the view from there, or even better from the top a few letters higher is absolutely unique!
A really nice trekk to get up here, and if you pass the monastery you get to see some of the best views in Petra.
