A long strip of huge rock carvings that looks like a city luring you away from the attractions of the Treasury at Petra. You don't have to climb or hike, they are so immense you can enjoy them from a distance.

Very interesting row of building carvings that tends to be overshadowed by other areas of Petra. With a guide's explanation, this is also interesting. The archeologists made a mistake by digging put the first part of the Fascade as it constantly floods with the rain...More

We spent almost an hour studying this entire street of stone carvings inside the Petra site. Really stunning. They are in essence buildings carved into the Jorge of the site. Highly decorative.

As you continue to walk into the gorge you see numerous carved buildings embedded into the walls. Some look part comp0leted only but most are amazing in quality of workmanship/

The Royal Tombs are worth a side trip. The colours of the rock are simply amazing. Don't miss it or the other sites just around the corner from it such as the Tomb of Sextius Florentius.

Our guide Talet stayed with us our whole time in the Rose City. Walking here he was explaining things and we spotted Marguerite Van Geldermalsen. We were a little star struck. She has a shop selling handmade, quality items made by local women oh yes...More

This is the most famous spot at Petra, featured in a few movies. What an amazing achievement, so many years ago, just to look good. Or for the sake of art. This is one of many dozens of facades. But it's obvious many actually lived...More
