We walked to the top of Cape point. The walk itself isn't too long but it is fairly steep - wear sensible footwear. Sine nice walking tracks and views from the top where spectacular. It seems a long drive from the entrance of the national...More

Visited here for a couple of hours, amazing views and yes we were joined by a baboon! - they are wild animals so be weary and do not feed them!

Amazing views - and climb - of the surrounding area and ocean. Unique and highly enjoyable! The drive from Capetown is very beautiful as well.

A must visit place, if you are in Cape Town. A small detour takes you to most South Western point of the African Continent. :)

Definitely worth a visit! The way up there is not very tiring and it is better to do this (if you have the choice) during a day with clear sky!!

The funicular takes visitors halfway up to the lighthouse (which was closed). The funicular station has a small museum. The walkways everywhere provided wonderful places to view the wildlife and the ocean. Well worth the trip.

Definitely worth a visit but allow plenty of time to explore all the tracks and side roads rather than just going up to the centre at the end of the main road. We bought return tickets but it is easy to walk down.

If you're in the mood, you can hike it. It's not terrible but it's steep. The view at the top- totally worth it! It was great to see the history, learn about the purpose of the 2 light houses and then hike from there to...More

I have a 2 week trip to Cape Town planned for October and have the last 4 nights still to book. I am visiting Stellenbosch first then on to a game reserve, then knysna then hermanus. I was going to book the last 4 nights in Cape town, maybe Sea point, green point or Camps Bay. I was however wondering if there is anywhere between hermanus and Cape town worth an overnight stay? Maybe a night or two down towards Cape point as I had planned a day's drive from accommodation in Cape town. Thanks

Hi Jules, Your holiday sounds great. When we left Hermanus we went to Simon's Town for a couple of nights but one night would be sufficient. We went so that we could visit Boulders Bay to see the Penguins. That is worth a... More
