The Dalai Lama temple is a place of peace and quiet ..As you enter you have a beautiful Tibitian Meseum. The temple has the main worship place that is open but restricted entry to visitors. Photography is allowed. The monks are busy with their prayer and daily chores and always wear a happy and welcoming smile. There are certain areas... More

If you love a tranquil environment, this place is a good place to be visited. There are quite a lot of eatery joints and shopping options in the vicinity.

The centre provides a chilling account of the relatively recent tibetean history of the last 60 years of Chinese occupation. Whilst the historical facts are a little inaccurate on places relating to ancient tibetean history it is certainly truthful about the recent and ongoing Chinese atrocities. We'll worth a visit and a thorough read of all the posters.

If your country is invaded and taken by another country, how do you feel? I had thought I knew the feeling, and I thought I knew the Tibet issue. Wrong. Here I've learned how Tibetans feel about their country from their perspectives. "We are treated as minority in our own country." Sad... Then, I tried Prostration, and got advice to... More

The abode of Dalai Lama and the peaceful Temple Complex is a must visit! Try taking some time out and meditating (or simply keeping quiet) to enjoy the beauty of the place.. The vibrations would leave you recharged!

Temple is situated just after market of McLeodganj. The way to reach this temple goes through main market of McLeodganj which has very nice shops for purchasing handcrafted items related to Tibetan lifestyle. Inside the temple there are very pretty prayer wheels and a nice museum.

A must see trip and if you are lucky, you can even get a chance to see Dalai Lama. The market near the temple is full of varieties.

I gave a talk at the Dalai Lama Library. It was a wonderful experience. They have a Tibetan Museum in the Library, wonderful treasures carried from Tibet. The Complex is also spiritually moving.

Never have I seen a temple complex so calm and peaceful. People throng the temple, but maintain discipline, stay calm and pray in peace. No crowd control required here. And the view from the temple is also great. A must visit place, not just for Buddhists, but anyone who wants to pray in peace.
