The biggest I've ever seen

I have not yet in my travels seen a bigger shivalinga than the one in Hampi. It is massive and the fact that it's made of a single rock is amazing. Must visit

Very close to the shrine of Narasimha is an interesting shrine with a huge monolithic Shiva Linga of nearly 3 meters high. The lower part of the Linga remains in water throughout the year. The source of the water id through a small canal drawn from the Tungabhadra river. The superstructure though present is in a dilapidated condition. The name... More

Installed by a poor lady with all her life's savings - the water does not dry even when the heat dries up everything else - Rajah Krishnadev honored it that speaks volumes of His greatness as a king. Beautiful Statue.

This is a huge linga that is in the same area as ugra narasimha. We were fortunate to see a water snake inside the grabhagriha that seemed to head towards the linga

Huge Shiva Linga placed in a 24/7 flowing water. It can be viewed through grill. No one is allowed inside.

This is very huge shivlinga which is right next to narshima statue and walkable from Krishna temple. I'd recommend having a guide or reading about it prior to visiting such place cause they've number of stories related to it which makes the visit more interesting.

The Badavilinga temple with 3 meters Shivalinga is located close to Ugra Narasimha. It is a monolithic structure pertaining to Vijayanagara dynasty in Hampi and is partly submerged in water coming from Tungabhadra river canal. Worth a visit when you visit Ugra Narasimha.

This is a huge one, close to ugra narshima statue. People say the water in which the linga seems to be submerged is pure and putting few drops over your head(sab paap se mukht ho jaoge). This depends on your belief, sharing few things which we got to know talking to locals and our driver who took us to all... More
