The view from up here is amazing!!! The climb up might be a little hard for some but the view is totally worth the huffing and puffing!!! We watched the sunset from up here and it was beautiful! It's a lovely view of the entire city. Must do if you ever visit Hampi. You need at least two to three... More

Behind the Virupaksha Car park adjacent to the Monolithic Bull is the regular way up, but the shorter way is from the right side of the Achyutaraya Temple. Best place to catch the sunsetting on the Hampi Ruins. Also it can orient you to the entire landscape till such time that the Government wakes up to the fact that we... More

Glorious sunrise after a bit of a wrong turn... after some bushwhacking got back on track. There's even a yogi who does his thing at sunrise. Wear sticky shoes... the rocks are very smooth and a little dangerous.

Here we met sunrise. The silence of nature and the lost city - Hampi. The height of the hill has wonderful views of the beauty of the old city.

This is a moderate trek uphill to view the stunning hampi ruins. I would say it is a must visit if your bones are still in good shape. Even if you are breathless its worth the climb. Make sure you wear comfortable non slip shoes and clothing and also carry a water bottle. Unless you are too old dont miss... More

Its a beautiful place has a perfect view of overall hampi. The hill is not that tall but pathway to climb up is moderate risky can take up to 15-20 mins. But the view from top is completely worth it,can easily spend 2-3hrs seeing city of stones..

Matunga hill is an excellent sunset point. There is a pathway through the stones and the climb can get a bit steep and moderate nature. The entire climb is short should take 15-20 minutes. If you are familiar with hiking, then it no big deal, but it can get a bit scary for newbies. Nevertheless, you can see locals including... More
