One of the few temples dedicated to Varaha, a reincarnation of lord vishnu it is situated near the main market of pushkar. It is a very small temple and can be visited till 8-9 pm at night. There is a series of steps before the gateway just in front of the temple.

It's an odd temple. It's peaceful, but I wouldn't say it's particularly beautiful or even all that interesting, which surprised me as temples dedicated to Varaha are certainly rare. It wasn't as well maintained as many other temples in the area.

After reading the reviews here about this temple, unknowingly I reached near this temple while visiting the shiva temple nearby. But nothing amazing to see there as one temple of Barah in Khajuraho is more beautiful than this temple. The statue of lord Barah, though a small one but looks beautiful. You have to climb 10-20 stairs to reach the temple.

It is a very old temple that is not located directly on the lake. This makes it less visited and very peaceful. You can enjoy it without being hassled. A very unique avatar of Lord Vishnu.

This temple was built in the 12 th century by king Anaji Chauhan. This is dedicated to the lord vishnu's varah avatar (incarnation of lord vishnu in form of wild boar). The emple houses the idol of the lord varah painted in white. This is one of the oldest & the rarest temple of the varaha.
