Made a return visit as a most attractive setting with good traditional food! Worth allowing a little extra time over lunch to enjoy location before a good walk back to Seefeld - or uphill to the funicular! walk

Enjoyed a wonderful Banana Split whilst gazing at the mountain views in awe. The funicular and cable cars are well worth doing. On our visit there was even a band playing. The cars can get a little crowded but not to be missed.

We went to this place when there was still a snow around. Even then it was great time and if you are in Seefeld I recommend you this trip.

Amazing views, skiing to die for- and an amazing ski instructor you really can't ask for more. Have booked for next year.

We rode the Rosshutte on Christmas Day to experience a white Christmas. It was an easy way to travel up the mountain to experience the great views! Well worth it!

This is such a beautiful way to get to the top of the mountain. My wife and little son were awe of the views, just magical, and well worth the money

The Rosshutte train is worth experiencing. The lifts were mostly closed due to lack of snow. The snow was very watery.

Great ride on a funicular railway to the ski café with further trips up to Seefelder Hoch and the Hammelkopf peaks. Extensive area for deck chairs on the snow overlooking Seefeld. Cafeteria service with a wide variety of food and drink. Glorious views from Seefelder...More

Situated high up in the mountains and really only serving "bar type" food at lunchtime, you can sit outside if the weather permits, enjoy your food whilst watches the cable cars go by and skiers almost everywhere.

A fun ride up the mountain, into the realm of the skiers. A cafe being available at the top for keeping your strength up. Save this trip for a good weather day with not much wind. It is worth catching the cable cars from the...More

As long as your Hotel is in Seefeld, you are only looking at a 15 minute max walk to the start of the funicular train. We were lucky as it was 2 minutes around the corner.
Are the cable cars opened end of October in Seefeld?

I'm not sure. I believe they would be open all year round as it caters for walkers too as well as skiers.

You can ride up on the Funicular to the halfway point and then there are a choice of two cablecars - one takes you close to the Seefelder Spitze where you just have to walk along a ridge to get to it (nothing too difficult... More
