A nice place to walk and to enjoy the view of the animals and forest.
Aug 2020
A lovely place to spend 3 hours. The entrance fee is euro 8 per person and a walking map with the location of the different animals cost euro 1,50. The trails have a length of about 5-6 km in total and leads through the forest along the of the park. The paths run through the forest and past the animal shelters. The deposited areas for the animals are very spacious and natural. All animals are animals that belong in our part of the world. In the middle of the park is a nice restaurant with terrace on the shore of the lake, Gaststatte Schweizer Hauschen. We had a tasty lunch, friendly service and reasonable prices.

Great game park!
Nov 2019
The beautiful game park has a huge terrain, so that the enclosures of the animals are very large. In some areas you can enter the enclosures so that you can get very close to the animals. There are feed vending machines, from which you can take suitable food for the animals for a small fee.

Unfortunately, on the day we visited the park, the Swiss house had closed, so that one had to leave the park earlier than planned in order to have lunch somewhere else.

Especially for families with children an excursion to this park is highly recommended.

A gem of a find - wonderful place
Aug 2018 • Family
I took my kids (aged 12-16) to the Wildpark. They loved it and we had such a good time! It turns out they aren't too old to enjoy feeding goats and donkeys, and they loved seeing and photographing all the animals. The park was quiet so they even got to play in the playground! Obviously it is great for younger kids too!

It cost me a quarter of the price it had cost the day before to go to a zoo, and the kids can't tell me which day out they preferred as they loved both! I would definitely recommend it. The only thing I would suggest is that you take wipes or hand sanitiser as there are not hand cleaning stations in the areas where you can feed and touch the animals. We spent so long with the goats that it was lunch time but we had to go on a trek to find somewhere to wash our hands. Oh, and make sure you have plenty of 50 cent coins for the animal feed!

What a lovely place!

Lovely parc with 6 km. of paths. Entrance fee is €7. You walk in a wood and the enclosures are scattered around. The animals look really relaxed. They have got wildcats, lynx, wolves, foxes, donkey, sheep and different kinds of deer to name a few. I especially liked the mixed enclosure, a walk through, with donkeys, deer and sheep and the bird part. The otters have a huge enclosure but we were lucky to spot 2. The badgers were not out yet but you could spot them in their sett. There are some bears form the int. Bear foundation as well. They do feeding talks. There is a restaurant in a stunning location, surrounded by a lake. Staff was very friendly, swift service, great quality of food and at German prices! Mind you, put on comfortable shoes as the paths can be uneven. Toilets are located next to the Swiss chalet. At the entrance you can buy a box to put the pellets in you can buy from machines at several enclosures for 0,50 and they sell souvenirs. During some weekends they have a bird of prey show. We spent all day and it was a really lovely place.

Beautiful park, beautiful animals

This park is a great find! Not terribly large, so you can see all the animals in a 3 to 4 hour stay, even if you're travelling with small children.
Most of the animals here live in large enclosures, which you might have to walk around to see the inhabitants. They're mostly quite used to humans looking at them, but you don't get the feeling that they're only there to be on display. Ofcourse it's hard to fathom but they don't seem unhappy or stressed.
Highlights for us were the bears and the wolves.
Word of warning: the donkeys and deer know where the feed machines are, so if you buy food for them, be ready to get out of their way quickly!

Nicely done

I love the "Anholter Schweiz" - it is not crowded and the animals are "local" to this region.
It is peaceful and a stop at the "Schweizer Haus" is a must! Love it!

A forest walk with a difference
Jul 2014 • Friends
First impressions are, that some of the exhibits were pretty ordinary but things improved as you went along. It's a very pleasant walk on a nice sunny day. Well suited for a family with young children or for a nice day out with grandma. Don't plan your Holiday around visiting this park, but if you in the area and looking for a not so demanding experience, take a look. We went there during the working week and the amount of visitors was just right. I would expect this place to be very busy on a sunny weekend, as it is easily accessible. Be sure to take the map of the park that offered when buying the tickets.
