This is more of a torture museum in general rather than specifically about the inquisition. There are 3 levels of displays of the various implements used to torture people. All have a multi language description. As others have said, you wonder what makes humans be...More

This museum is not only related to "Inquisicion" period (even if it is the main contribution) because it offers a review of the torture methods in ancient and recent ages. A clear, well documented and fairly complete exhibition allows to see most of the torture...More

It has all the history and the horrors of the Spanish Inquisition. It is very informative about the religious fervour of the times. It may not be suitable for children under 12.

The name is misleading, the references to the inquisition are minimal. It should be named museum of torture or something similar.

The museum has lots of distributing artefacts, but we'd hoped for a bit more history around the inquisition. Pretty grim stuff! Glad of the Geneva convention.

In a very gory and gruesome way. Hard to imagine people come up with these things!!! Some of the translations were challenging (Google fail!?!), which is disappointing, but you kind of get the gist of it! Kids loved it!

Try the Tower of London - but do not visit either before lunch!! Need to take a troublesome child to try out the devices - or at laest threaten.

The exhibits and their explanations are well done. This is a disturbing museum, given the subject matter, make no mistake. It does have a place in this little medieval village. Careful with younger children given the descriptive nature of the exhibits.

Displaying the tools of the trade, torture that is this museum is small, but well maintained. Give the quick feel for the tortures of the day. The whole museum can be seen in a quick visit, but how many torture devices can you look at...More
