Santillna del Mar is a charming little medieval town which everyone must visit. The only problem is that it is full of tourists during the summer months. I suggest a visit in October or November.

We had a good afternoon stroll and tea in this lovely village. A good place to take good photos and shops selling handmade handicrafts. You may want to bring an umbrella during the rainy season.

Sit on the steps and watch everyone floating around the village in awe of the wonderful buildings. A very chilled place with good restaurants and a handful of tourist shops.

It is like many other plazas in Spain, small, but beautiful. Very well kept by the ayuntamiento. it is elevated so you can see a very good part of the town.

Very central location, nice view of the central square. Sit outside and see what they offer today. menu might change but quality is very decent and prices are low.

Walking around the square you encounter the history of this 900 year old village. Be sure to take a 'selfie' at the well.
