The end part of the bay has a small little cove that you can walk to & snorkel around the rocks. We loved this bay.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 15 October 2023
- Ellen K184 contributionsPerfect Beach with all amenitiesThe beach is wonderful. Clear water, soft Sandy bottom and the beach is exquisite. If you are not staying on Meads Bay, you can rent chairs and an umbrella at Blanchard’s Beach Shack. The food and drinks are great. If you are staying on Meads Bay as we did ( at the Turtles Nest ), there are many restaurants and other properties that serve food and drinks on the beach. Just a wonderful place to be!Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 21 November 2023

We simply enjoy everything about Anguilla; the people, the restaurants, the beaches, etc. When we researched the island years ago for resorts to stay at, we never could have imagined finding not only the perfect resort, but also the most spectacular beach to stay on. Meads Bay Beach is amazing!❤️ We absolutely love how turquoise and calm the water usually is (unless a hurricane is nearby), and we love the visual aesthetics of how Meads Bay curves with the Four Seasons Resort on one corner and the Malliouhana Resort/Cove on the other corner. It’s beauty at its best! Hopefully these photos show how awesome Meads Bay is. Enjoy!Visited July 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 21 August 2024

This is a simply amazing Bay on Anguilla- I would say it has the best beach on the island. The water is quite clear on most days (a little less on windy days), and the cove down on the right past Leon's is the perfect place to float in the water for hours. We met some of the best people in the water (and they came from all over the island) just to enjoy Meads Bay. Hopefully the pictures show it's beauty!

My wife and I believe this to be the best beach on the island. Yes, the colors may be a little more interesting on Shoal Bay some days, but overall…Mead’s Bay wins it for us every time. Mead’s water is so calm and clear when we go in June/July, and it doesn’t have any rocks or sea grass that we need to watch out for. We agree that Mead’s also wins because of the cove near Malli. It’s such an easy walk right in the cove water, and it’s a great feeling to float down there in the cove for hours! Hopefully the photos show its beauty!

Stunnng bay and beach. Soft white sand, blue waters, and decent restaurants and bars for refreshments! Not necessarily unique in the World, but has to be one of the best.
It was quiet, but Covid presumably was the reason.

Meads Bay is my absolute favorite beach in the world. Softest sand. Cove beach with cave at one end. Wonderful restaurant along the beach such as Straw Hat my favorite. Food delicious and menu varied. Bella Blu is the best place to stay right in the middle of the long beach.

Our family's favorite beach in the entire world -- we've simply given up on finding a more perfect beach. It's never crowded, and the sunsets are exquisite. The many restaurants and places to stay (Tranquility Beach is perfectly situated at the mid-point) are just icing on the cake.

If you haven't noticed, I've written a review on Captain's Bay, Anguilla. I rated Captain's Bay my favorite beach, but I just had to write about Mead's Bay as well. Like I've said, spent two weeks on Anguilla, hitting practically all the beaches. Mead's Bay was my second favorite. Your classic Caribbean beach, on the northwest side of the island, Atlantic side, views of the horizon are breathtaking, sand so white, and the color of the water changes constantly. Doesn't get crowded at all. A few hotels are on the beach, but it doesn't detract from the fact why this beach is rated by some travel magazines/agents as one of the top ten beaches in the word.

Hi is this a good/safe location for a solo (female) traveler? Any recommendations. I'm looking to travel here for my birthday getaway end of August.

Sandy bottom yes. u will see 2 kinds of silver fish very close to shore all along meads bay. But go next to the rocks under Malli and you will see at least 5 different kinds of fish less than 100 feet from the beach. i did not go very far out at all but i'm sure there are even more fish further out near the rock wall. Have not snorkeled at shoal.
