I went to the foreign film presentation on Friday night, and enjoyed the popcorn, drink and movie.
The big screen is wonderful, and the seating is large enough to be comfortable in for a two hour movie.
I mostly enjoyed the look of the theatre. A trip back in the day. I watched my first movie here when i was seven, and the theatre is a landmark in downtown Bakersfield.

Saw a big comedy show here, and loved it. The theater is beautiful, and very accessible and accommodating, with comfortable seating. And the staff was very friendly and helpful, and did a really good job of providing timely and quality service to a maxed crowd.

Great Theater!
The stage is not much higher than the front row seats so you don't have to worry about craning your neck if you are up close. If you are back a bit the seats are not staggered and it is hard to get a good view of the stage. There is not much rise towards the back.
Great acoustics.!

I enjoy going to concerts here. However, do not spend the money for VIP seating or extras. We spent extra to get VIP seats, autographed posters, shirts and VIP passes. Only to find out they just mailed us everything and we got the items including the VIP passes after the concert in the regular mail. I guess the VIP passes were just for collecting. We also found out the woman in front of us, who stood up the whole time and blocked our view, paid half of what we did for our seats. She just didn't get the mailed items.

A lot of fun watching The Sound of Music at a private screening. It was a birthday celebration for a friend, it's his favorite movie ... some came in costume ... Loved it!

I love going to this theater, it is beautiful, it is like taking a walk in the past, you go into it, every thing is so vintage, love it so much.

Do you need a special ticket or ID. To get into a meet and greet? I have purchased my ticket but it does not say anything about the meet and greet which I also purchased!

I do not know what sort of an event that you are talking about. A ticket will get you in the door and basically anywhere inside - but that would not include backstage (I think).

Where do you park and how much does it cost for one night?

There is a parking lot about a block south across the street and across from Padre Hotel. Parking is free but limited. Otherwise you are on the streets. Might suggest havinfmg dinner or drinks at the Padre or The Mark restaurant and pay for valet parking. The mark and Padre are about 1 block away
