Architectural Paradise

If you like classic, fin de cicle, or deco architecture the campus has it all. Very hilly, though, be prepared to hike. Make sure to hang around long enough to hear the campaniles.

All the university reviews scores Cal Berkeley at the top. With that said, lots of people apply, and only a small number actually get in. It is a lovely campus with a nice mix of old and new buildings, and a mature park setting. So for those who are not the top of their class, you can at least walk... More

There is a special energy that runs through the UC Berkeley campus. The landscape, the buildings, and the very diverse student body which occupies it seemed to merge and connect in such a way as to create an organic being of a higher existence. You can sense the purpose and the history that fuels this place and infuses it with... More

Made my first trek to Berkeley. My main purpose was to visit the campus store to pick up a t-shirt for my 17 year old niece as inspiration for her to apply in the fall. Street parking was tight; however, I was pleasantly surprised that there was an adjacent underground garage that led right to the store on the first... More

I visited the campus to get some idea for a leadership center. The campus is great and lively with students.

We walk around this beautiful campus and enjoyed seeing students studying. We suggest you take a tour. Find the hudden bears and the stream. Shop at the campus stores, or others in the vicinity.

Awesome. If you are considering UC Berkeley, definitely go to the pre-admission talk (located at Sproul Hall). For us it was worth the trip from LA. We were very appreciative of Elizabeth's presentation (talk, insight, information).

UC Berkeley is a large campus with many activities. Simply walking through the campus is a delight. There is the student center next to Sproul Plaza where one can absorb the student life, have a meal, go bowling, see demonstrations, and enjoy world class entertainment at Zellerbach Theatre. There are lovely walks along Strawberry creek and beautiful architecture spanning styles... More

Well, my words alone won't be enough to describe how beautiful this campus is. Try to come during the weekends when it's more quiet and enjoy the breathtaking view from every single part of the campus. Be advised that it'll take some energy to walk around the campus due to the unforgiving hills.
