I was on a business trip and had time to spare. Decided to walk the campus. What history. The library was amazing. I also went up the clock monument to see the gorgeous views. Great place to just walk around.

Although Berkeley is located only about 40 miles from Stanford University, the UC Berkeley campus represent totally different architecture style. It is more East Coast style or similar to European universities. Maybe it is not as unique as Stanford campus but still very beautiful. The...More

I was in the area and had to pay a visit to this renowned institution of higher learning. Granted, I dropped by on spring break, so the campus was empty; but, still, you could breathe this sense of pride as I walked around, and I...More

The campus of U.C. Berkeley is interesting to walk around because the architecture varies so much, from older, stately buildings with columns to the more modern and contemporary. The Campenile (formally known as Sather Tower) is the clock tower in the center of campus, and...More

Alot of smart lookimg people walking around between classes. The campus is picturesque. Try to ride to the stadium and walk down through the campus.

We also are donors, and have participated in alumni activities while living for close to four decades in Asia. We have helped get foreign students to Berkeley, and specifically donated for a building. I have even spoken a few times here.

As a university professor elsewhere I can really appreciate the environment at this academic campus. The educational quality of this institution is worldwide recognize and its location is definitely ideal: relatively small community (Berkeley) near a rather cosmopolitan city at large like the bay area.
