My wife and I recently saw their Play about Irving Berlin and loved it. The venue is wonderful and was a great place for watching theatre. Berkeley itself is a nice place (liked it better than San Fran actually). Lots of places close to eat and the Rapid Transit station just up the street. Recommend seeing a play here.

A tour de force performance by Hershey Felder who tells the story of Irving Berlin, playing the piano and singing his many hit songs. Felder's impersonation of Berlin is masterful and nostalgic. Both tragedy and success defined Irving Berlin's life and Felder is a captivating performer who brings his story to life in a most engaging way. #HersheyFelder

We've seen great shows all over the country and keep coming back to Berkeley Rep to see great actors like Steven Epp doing Figaro or the ensemble from Kneehigh Theater in Cornwall performing a raucous version of Wild Bride. You'll find everything from classics to world premieres, staged by a world-class team.

We watched a Thursday evening play, Hand to God, at the Peet's Theater. What an enjoyable experience! The satirical comedy had us in stitches. Really good. Peet's Theater is nicely set out too. Not too big so we get a good view even from the second last row. We realized that one doesn't need Premium tickets to get a good... More

We've had season tix for 30+ years. It's our favorite form of culture. You might not like the play, but the plays are always well done. We saw "The Amazing Story of Adolphus Tipps". It's a WWII play presented in a fun, creative way. The actors were multitalented and exceptional.

I have visited this venue/company as a tourist from the UK a couple of times now. My most recent visit was last month. The productions here travel and their work is known here in the UK as well as the U.S. I love the fact that they take risks and have produced shows as varied as American Idiot and work... More

A top-flight regional theater company, the Berkeley Rep offers sophisticated plays in its sleek modern facility in downtown Berkeley. Its thrust stage in a gently curved amphitheater provides excellent sight lines from every seat. I took in The Last Tiger in Haiti, a recent play that is a co-production with the La Jolla Playhouse. Direction and level of acting was... More
