Strange combo of a one person show of a contemporary artist- deceased- and then a show of medieval art from the permanent collection Definitely cannot criticize them for being timid in their shows Always worth a look just to see what they have come up...More

My cousin and I saw this museum while out walking and decided to try it out. It was housed in a beautiful modern building. Inside, the modern theme continued and it was in itself something of an art installation. The exhibits were very interesting. There...More

It's a little getting used to but Hujar's photographs draw you in quickly under the skin. Worth a detour.

We loved this museum. The shows have plenty of space, it is artfully designed, and the gift shop and cafe are good as well. So glad to have this in our town. Seems to show the unusual.

The BAMPFA has interesting exhibitions, where the curators bring the attention of the visitors to a wide repertoir of artists and disciplines. It has a great film program, and music events. It is also a Happening more than a formal museum!

Wide open spaces filled with light and glass. The amphitheater of polished wood seating is impressive and inviting. The place was filled with students. The exhibitions were varied and interesting from poems, inventions, a serene room filled with buddhas, artworks and hands on participation. Different place.

This is a very good university museum but would be an average one in general. We can get in for free because of our donor status, and it can have interesting special exhibitions. But if we had to pay, we wouldn't go here.
