The staff was great. Everything we needed was available and any time we needed help there was someone there. The snow was wet but we had a great time. We will be back next season.

My Son and Grandchildren wanted to snowboard. They rented ski equipment from their Military base. This was their first time. My 4 year old grandson walked up the hill, his Dad strapped on the snowboard and down he came like a pro. It was truly amazing. All of them caught on quickly.

Signed our son up for a ski lesson at Snow Summit after he took a snowboarding lesson at Durango over Christmas break and hated it! (Mostly because it was difficult and the instructors are overworked and the classes are super crowded!) I should qualify this by saying we know very little about skiiing and skiing as a sport so what... More

Went here with Costco vouchers which were 55/ticket. Wouldn't pay full price for this small resort. Top to bottom only a few minutes. Costco price for mammoth is 90 which a steal by comparison. Everything here is also super expensive. Rentals exceed costs of fancy Colorado resorts. Food options limited to McDonalds-like fast food that is like ten bucks for... More

I'm writing here because of our experience. The guy who did check in wrongly put my children in the beginner lessons. If I wasn't there to tell the teachers my children were put in a wrong group. If I didn't check the groups and the teachers, I couldn't know what was wrong. My son's teacher, Elisa, was so rude and... More

Our trip over New Years 2017 was the first time we had skied in California. We only have ever skied in Vail. We had to severely lower our expectations in regards to the amenities for the skiers and non-skiers alike (no public transportation to the resort, very little indoor space to lounge or eat meals). We were lucky to have... More

Snow Summit sits at 7,000 feet and is a full service winter resort with all types of lodging accommodations available nearby, shops, full service restaurants, and after-ski entertainment. Snow Summit has 11... More

I've been coming to Big Bear to ski for 15 years. I'm not impressed by the changes since the takeover by Mammoth a couple of years ago. The ticket price has risen substantially. Now a one day pass for an adult costs $90.78 after tax (and they've abolished the Getaway system, for those of you who used it). Secondly, the... More
