I read about the Bell Tower and though it was such a sad story I took my family there for a moment of quiet. Definitely worth a visit.

We stooped for Lunch at a great Mexican Restaurant next to the trail head. then we walked the trail for awhile and came to the bells, it is not very well marked from highway 1. we are returning this summer to walk the trail !

Well worth the drive and short walk from the parking lot to the Bell Tower. The outpouring of empathy and love from the small Italian towns for the little boy who was caught in gunfire is poignant and memorable. Beautiful setting.
