good for a photo

Well maintained, but inaccessible interior. Good for a story and a photo - and take on of the church Ansel Adams put on the cover of one of his guides.

The Potter Schoolhouse is infamous & famous, due to the publicity it has gotten from Alfred Hitchcock's film The Birds this School House is infamous in Bodega, CA and Sonoma County in general.

It's a nice building, well kept. A few minutes from Valley Ford. You cannot go inside. It is right next door to the St. Teresa Church so you get two for one.

Private home you can visit the outside only. Probably only for true "BIRDS" fans. A little off beaten path in the town of Bodega. A great selfie spot my significant other had to get her pic there. To bad the swing set is gone.

In the town of Bodega. Just off the main road and behind the Catholic Church. It is a privately owned property, so you cannot enter, but you can drive by and snap a picture. It still looks like it did in the '60s when Alfred Hitchcock scared us all with his movie "The Birds".

You know the movie. You know the song the children were singing. You know the attack, when birds were picking at the children running. Visit the school, now a private residence. So take a few pics and move on.

If you have seen the movie birds this is in one of the scenes. Bodega is a small artsy town where you can shop for little souvenirs and see this potter schoolhouse.

I admit that I haven't been here since the late 80's, but from what I have read and viewed, not much has changed. I love the new paint job and I am happy that Ms. Taylor is still the owner. I met both her and her mother when I first visited in 1984. I was allowed to just walk around... More
