We really love this place. If you like to hike, camp, take photos or just take in the wonderful scenery, Anna-Borrego is for you. We stopped at the Visitor Center before venturing out, and got lots of useful information about the area. We did miss the "super bloom" by a few weeks but the benefit was we also missed the... More

This is a beautiful magestic desert. There is a paleontology society, archeology, botany, wildlife biology and birding. The volunteers and rangers are wonderful. I can't say enough about this park.

We came to this beautiful park as a day trip from San Diego. What an enchanted place. Beautiful landscape. Recent more rainy weather allowed for gorgeous dessert bloom. For a person from the east coast it felt like once in a lifetime chance to see such a beauty. We felt like we wanted to spend more time here. Perhaps next... More

I have been visiting this park regularly since the 1970s, and it can not be easily summarized in a Trip Advisor review. Anza Borrego is the largest park in the California State Park system. It comprises 600,000 acres of rugged desert country with towering mountains, deeply eroded badlands, and hidden canyons with flowing streams and native palms, in addition to... More

This State Park is not like other state parks, this is a destination that you will want to spend several days to a week exploring. The visitor center is similar to centers at the national parks with rangers available for information, an historical and interpretive area, a movie about the park and a gift shop. The hiking is world class... More

Took a long, peaceful drive from Rancho Bernardo. Along the way everything was green for a change. Upon arrival to Anza-Borrego the hills were tinged with yellow and gold with some some blue, magenta and reds for accent. What luck to be able to see this beauty!

We have been going here for years. If travelers want quietude and a sense of distance from the madding crowds, here is the spot. It's busy in the winter and spring, but summer is a bargain and a nice contrast to Palm Springs.

We received great help from rangers with hiking maps and recommended areas to visit for wildflowers. Took their advise. Enjoyed the displays, film and history of the area plus walking paths.

Love the area & vastness of the park. Visiting the Visitor's Center was the first thing that we do, got hold of the park's literature & map. With the help of the staff, we made our day experience a great & awesome experience. Don't forget to bring lots of waterto keep the hydration constantly maintained.

We visited Anza Borrego Springs in the month of March after so much of hype in the newspapers and channels. I was disappointed to see sporadic bloom in the desert. May be I was expecting a full-bloom-like field. Additionally, the heat made it unbearable for me to stay long and do any hikes. Overall I thought it was an oversell.
