OMG the pictures just dont do this set of falls justice! They are beautiful. We came just for the falls but the park has a very stocked mini mart/souvenir store and cleaner bathrooms. This should be a must stop if you are in the area....More

It is well worth the fee to get into the park to see the falls and hike around. The falls where fantastic and beautiful. One of the better falls I have seen for a long time. You can hike to the bottom of the falls...More

The 129 foot falls cascade with the same amount of water year round. That is 100 million gallons per day. About half the water had been under ground then comes up to go over the falls. The rest comes from springs in the waterfalls face....More

Thank you for your great rating and informative review. We agree that the falls are unique and beautiful and the lake inviting. We would only add that the Visitor Center has exhibits and hand-on displays that help explain the unusual geologic elements in this part...More

I have seen many falls all over the world, but this one took my breath away. Every set of falls we see are different and beautiful in their own way, but I had never seen a set of falls quite like this. There are two...More

I've heard about Burney Falls for over 50 years and finally made it! I wasn't disappointed. They're a 129' high mostly "plunge" type waterfall. It was over 100 degrees in the parking lot at 4 PM and only about 70 at the pool! You can...More

Great review: thank you for sharing all the information. We encourage visitors to see the Visitor Center with information about the falls. We hope you will visit again before another 50 years go by! McArthur Burney Falls Interpretive Association

The waterfall and trail is not that impressive and the park fee brings down the attractiveness of the park. If one's primary goal is to see the falls and experience the trails McCloud Falls is a better option. I read so much about these falls...More

Amazingly beautiful and you hardly even have to walk at all! We actually had to walk further to get to the bathrooms than to get to the views of the waterfall! It has a big parking area, some benches with grills, bathrooms, a gift shop...More

If you are nearby, don't miss this wonderful park. Teddy Roosevelt called it the 8th wonder of the natural world.

These falls are spectacular and easily accessible on a well-maintained trail that leads you to the bottom. But no need to go there if you don't want to as they are easily visible from the top. Water fountains are available on the trail down -...More

There are no signs that say you CAN'T swim. LOL, but it will be cold and the water move pretty fast. Be safe!

We rented cabins to stay at the park, are bear canisters for food storage provided or are bears not really a concern in this area? Would food storage in cars be sufficient if so? Any other large mammal wildlife to be cautious of?

Park staff say there have been no issues with bears so far. Storage in any containers or your car is probably a good idea as there will be smaller critters about. The Visitor Center is open now most days. Stop in when you... More
