We could not have had better weather in October, mild with no wind. Machrihanish has always been my favourite links course and I have played it a few times in ,sometimes in more difficult conditions. Unfortunately,to my disappointment, my golf was poor. It is not a forgiving course, especially fora lady, with long carries over thick rough from the tees.... More

The inscription above the clubhouse bar pretty much says it all: "If I were allowed to play only one course for the rest of my life, Machrihanish would be the place." Thank you Scotland for four outstanding days at Mach!

From the 1st hole (never to be missed) to the 18th a tremendous golfing experience. Deserves it's recognition as a must courses to play and deserves it's world ranking status. Play was a bit slow but this didn't detract from the experience. Derek

The older of the two courses, well worth the visit. Good facilities as you'd expect st this traditional golf course, the wind can be difficult to deal with

I was lucky enough to play The Machrihanish GC whilst on a trip to Argyllshire. It is a classic links with holes laid out by Old Tom Morris. So many great holes with one of the games classic openers with a drive across the bay. A truly brilliant old Links!

Disclaimer: I did not golf, but my husband did. They were very welcoming to us and helped get him setup with renting clubs and everything he needed. We met a lovely English couple on the course who we ended up playing with. Not to mention, they have the best opening hole in the world! If you are in the area... More

There were 14 of us. All family. We were visiting family for a few days. Our cousin who is a member, and plays golf at the course, treated all of us to dinner at the club house. The food was superb and staff were very good. Would recommend eating there. My grandson played the course with my cousins husband and... More

Stayed locally at The Warren B&B which I would totally recommend. The Golf Course was challenging but fun. The welcome in the clubhouse was warm and friendly. We ate there every evening and the food was excellent, service quick and reasonably priced. Very friendly and helpful staff. Looking forward to a return trip.
