Cool place to see old petrified trees. A bit expensive but a nice quick 1 hour detour. Kinda neat to view trees that are over 1 million years old. Won't take long to see but worth a quick stop if you are in the area....More

Liked the trail. Plenty of wildlife within the exhibits. It was evening so it was very peaceful and quiet, barely anyone there. The help that ran the place was extremely knowledgeable. Great people & very interesting.

Was the last stop of the day, this is an excellent stop for the history and science minded person. Learn about how the Forest was petrified and how it has been preserved. Not an easy walk trails are a little rough.

Plenty of petrified wood and reasonably solid signage. A nice walking trail with some interesting history. A nice stop among the beautiful scenery and vineyards.

Took our kids here and had a ton of fun. The gentleman that did the tour was very informative and knowledgeable. Highly recommend doing this.

I am giving a fairly subjective view. In case you have seen any other petrified forest (e.g., one in Arizona), definitely skip this. The man half mile loop takes 20 minutes or so to cover, and you will see several petrified trees (mainly Redwoods and...More
