Perched 300 feet above the town of Calistoga, Sterling Vineyards offers panoramic views of Napa Valley. A unique aerial tram carries visitors up to the hilltop winery, whose iconic architecture was modeled after that of the Greek island of Mykonos...more
I can’t help but return to Sterling winery every time I visit Napa Valley. What’s not to like about taking a unique gondola ride up the mountain? You can sign up for a tour or follow the easy self guided stroll with sporadic tastings through...More
We enjoyed the tasting. You stroll from area to area with your wine glass. The view of the valley from this winery is amazing. It is worth doing. You also see the equipment and areas where wine is made.
This is a beautiful location which in cludes a tram ride to the winery atop a hill. Price includes the ride and tasting. Several tasting locations are along a self guided tour - ending at a patio with another tasting station with tables and chairs...More
We toured Sterling Vineyards last week as part of a week-long wine tour. The wines at Sterling are exceptional. We ended up joining the Wine Club.
The tram to the top provides amazing views. The tour is self-paced, with video screens along the way explaining...More
We did the Platinum experience which included a food & wine pairing. We showed up a bit more than an hour early and hoped to walk around the winery since we had extra time. However, we had to pay just to do the general admission...More
This was a fun and interactive wine tasting/tour! After you pay your admission, you take a gondola ride (how cool is that?!) up the mountain to the winery. When you get to the top, you receive a glass with your first tasting of wine -...More
Been to this vineyard many times, each time it does not disappoint. The wines taste good, the tour is interesting. You don’t feel pressured to buy the wines, and you can go at your own pace. We did the silver tour, with additional wines. Although...More
My husband and I visited Sterling Vineyards upon the recommendation of some other travelers. We decided on the “Silver” level (there are several choices available). Our Silver-Level Tour included riding the Tram to the top of the mountain, where we were greeted and given a...More
Loved this place so much when I visited two years ago. Decided to bring my son to Napa this year to show him the coolest places and unfortunately the tram was shut down. Even though the tram was shut down, they still charged us full...More

Yes, I think we paid $20 but am not certain which covers the cost of the t-shirt that you step your footprints onto. It was a fun experience and something my mum has always wanted to do so well worth it. I would suggest... More
Yes, I think we paid $20 but am not certain which covers the cost of the t-shirt that you step your footprints onto. It was a fun experience and something my mum has always wanted to do so well worth it. I would suggest buying a dish towel in one of the vineyard gift shops and leaving your footprints on that too as the T-shirt is not something that we actually wore after this but I smile every time I use the dish towel with our footprints on it. There was also an admission discount coupon that you can get for downloading an app. Don't remember what that was but google discounts before you go.
