This was really good. I like Korbel champagne and it is so cool that they are allowed to call it champagne even though it is from California because it is so old! Go Korbel! Your... read more

This was really good. I like Korbel champagne and it is so cool that they are allowed to call it champagne even though it is from California because it is so old! Go Korbel! Your champagne is so good and you have such a variety of it! I don't think other champagne makers use so many different varietals in their... More

We would visit several times a year in the 1990s when we lived in California. We always purchased a case or more. I personally never cared for champagne until our first visit. It was always great. We prefer the extra dry out of their selection. The people were extremely friendly and genuinely were proud of their products. Highly recommend a... More

The champagne tasting was better than the wine tastings offered nearby. A nice refreshing change. We stopped at their gourmet deli for a sandwich and really enjoyed their apple chicken salad.

We have made several trips to the wine country and the Kornell winery is the first stop. The tour is fabulous and the people that work there are very nice. I buy a case of champagne about every three months. 4 bottles of Blanc de Blanc, 4 bottles of Blanc de Noir and 4 bottles of Extra Dry. When you... More

Yesterday, August 28, my husband and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. We opened our last bottle of Kornel "SEHR TROCKEN" champagne that we bought 15 years ago when we visited your winery. It aged lovely like us. Thanks to the internet, I found you. Kathleen and Clay Tiknis

I met the original vintner, Hanns Kornell many years ago; he was gracious and shared his favorite champagne, Sehr Trocken during our personal tour...unfortunately a trademark/copyright dispute over their champagne "Character" was costly and following Hann's stroke things were never the same spiralling into foreclosure . Fortunately, the Rombauer family and other investors purchased the estate and continued production of... More

While visiting the wine country with my niece, I suggested we take a tour of Kornell Cellars--something I had done years before and wanted to do again. So we drove to the Champagnerie, only to find there were no longer any tours! I was amazed and very disappointed, expressing my dismay. Shortly, we were told that the person who would... More

I have visited Kornell a number of times over the years. A special place, they still "hand riddle" the bottles of wine. A great tour with good stories and enjoyable tasting. My wife and I bought several cases and had them shipped to Tennessee for our wedding. For an interesting tour, visit Kornell and then Mumm on the Silverado trail... More
