Like its more famous Yellowstone counterpart, this Napa Valley geyser erupts at regular intervals - every forty minutes, in the case of the Calistoga gusher.

This is another 'tourist trap' that over-promises and under-delivers. At $15 a piece, we didn't get much value. Overall, the geyser was a bit underwhelming. I wish I had looked at TA reviews before deciding to go.

We stopped to visit the geyser as we spent the day biking around Calistoga. I will say that the park was a tad pricey. Having said that, they do provided nice shaded seating to view the Geyser (which was very active on the day we...More

Calistoga being a place I call home I found Old Faithful a let down. I wish the price was reasonable so we could have gone. Unless you are planning on spending the day it is not a $15 per adult $9 per child facility. Not...More

Visited here today and paid $60 for a family of four. Highlight is seeing a spout of spray every 10 minutes. Tiny farm to try to add some more substance to the attraction. If it were free entry I would suggest visiting. Don't waste your...More

For the price I would expect a lot more. The geyser, while nice, is very small and after watching it go off 2-3 times, there is nothing really else to do...

Loved this place, wish we packed a lunch and brought a bottle of wine. You could spend hours there. Worth the fee to get in.

Unfortunately the afternoon we went it was over 100 degrees in the sun so we were melting. They do have seated areas with umbrellas or covers so you can wait and watch in shade. The timing is unpredictable and it was taking 20+ minutes the...More

Very touristy but worth a quick visit. One of only a few places in the world that regularly erupt. Expensive and not as impressive as the Yellowstone old faithful but unique and worth a quick stop nonetheless. With recent rains the geyser is more frequent...More

When traveling with children/teens, you need to consider their tastes in entertainment. Napa Valley is geared toward adults. The Wine Train is fun for adults; but, children may not appreciate the Calif. food/wine served... More
