Take a tour of central Italy right in Napa Valley . Medieval castle built with every little detail. Wines are extremely varied and wonderful. Worth the visit.

Several friends from home, as well as people we met during our trip to Napa, recommended a visit to Castello di Amorosa. The castle was an impressive building and was surrounded by vineyard views, but this is probably not a place I'd visit again. This...More

The Castle is the landmark in the Napa. You just have to come here at least once. The grounds is beautiful overlooking the valley, and the buildings are just as impressive. I wasn't a fan of Italian wines, but the wines they have are so...More

Walked around the grounds & it was beautiful. We did not tour the place because they charged an entrance fee. I heard the wine was just ok. So we did not go in.

Castello di Amorosa is a good stop if you want to see an over-the-top, European-inspired castle. The grounds are really very impressive. I prefer small, intimate tasting rooms. That’s not Castello. This winery is great if you are traveling with people who don’t necessarily appreciate...More

Is it crowded? Yes. Is it touristy? Yes. Is it cheesy/tacky? A little. But having said all of that, it is still worth a visit, because... 1) It's still impressive, and has gorgeous views of the scenery. 2) The tour is different and fun. 3)...More

Nope, the tasting is included in the admission. So you pay for the admission but you don't have to do tasting if you choose not to.

We did a self guided tour, so once you have seen everything you can continue to revisit the parts accessible to that tour. Guided tours had access to special areas.
