If you are driving in be sure to come early as parking is full along all of Carlsbad beaches by 11 am. There is one paid lot... More

The beach is not that friendly, but it is a lot of fun to watch the surfers and the sunsets are second to none.

Parking right off the Highway 101 allowed us to have a stroll on this beautiful beach. Great scenery. Quite a few persons with dogs walking on a March afternoon.

Have been visiting Carlsbad for years and love to go to their beaches. We actually visited years ago and drove from San Diego north to find the best beach for us. That's when we found Carlsbad.

Walked the beach and enjoyed the view. Beach is not huge, but it is very pretty and in good location. Not likely to be crowded, like other local beaches.
