What a great way to spend an evening after dinner in Carlsbad Village. Over the recent Holidays we stumbled on the New Village Arts Theater presentation of "THE 1940s RADIO HOUR". The local group puts on several shows in their newly remodeled theater which seats...More

You don't want to miss any of the performances by talented actors at this local theater venue. Every seat is good because it's small and intimate. The last performance I saw was Oklahoma which was probably one of the best renditions I've ever seen. I...More

We really like this place. Usually better than average performances. We saw "Sylvia" last week. Hard to stop laughing. Near the coaster. Easy parking. Restaurants nearby. Some performances are suitable for familiies.

we have attended 3 plays at this theater, the last one this month. The acting is outstanding, however this theater company has been in business for 15 years and the sets, direction, and offerings do not reflect this.

This company has excellent experienced actors who seamlessly switch from role to role - while the set design and costumes are bare bones, this is an enjoyable way for anyone to experience Shakespeare. The music innovations are especially fun - worth spending an evening in...More

New Village Arts is performing my favorite comedy of all time "Sylvia". This is the story of a couple who now are empty-nesters leaving a void in their home. Dad has a solution and adopts Sylvia, a dog played by Samantha Ginn. She is fabulous...More

You can park on the street (it says 3-hour parking but it is not enforced), or in the free commuter parking lot next to the train station. Leave a little extra time for parking on weekend matinees and Friday and Saturday... More

During September, we are running the Rodgers & Hammerstein musical OKLAHOMA! Our shows run Thursdays - Sundays, so your best chance at catching the show would be the 2pm matinee on September 11th. Thanks!
