As beautiful as I remember you it. Lovely walk down stores and restaurants. We ate at one of the restaurants that offered outdoor seating with heaters. Nice, festive atmosphere.

This a very scenic drive...on one side you have the spectacular coastline and on the other side you have both stunningly elaborate as well as simple bungalow style residences. It was a really fun drive!

See the heart of Carmel

One of the best ways to see the heart of Carmel. Grab one of the free maps of the downtown area and start walking. Ocean Avenue is packed with small shops, coffee shops and restaurants. Check out the many small alleyways as there are many more hidden shops. Also, walk the side streets as many more places to visit are a block or two off of Ocean Avenue.

Ocean ave is a great alternative to the wonderful natural vistas.

Ocean Avenue is great walking and looking. There are homes, buildings and shops to be enjoyed. We walked this street a few times that would have been more if the hill had been less steep.

Really impressed with this town and the picturesque and quaint beauty of the area. We loved walking around, visiting the shops and restaurants. We went with our teen kids and a 4 year old. They all had a nice time as well. Would be really great to visit on a romantic get away or visit with friends.

We walked in Ocean avenue in the very fine andl artistic village Carmel-by-the-Sea. We saw many colourful shops and fine art galleries. A good address for gifts.
In Carmel by the sea, the atmosphere is very peaceful, with beautiful houses, flowers, birds and gardens.
A small paradise on the Californian coast!

This is a great place to walk and see a variety of shops and people. The "vendors" all have fun personalities and were ready to chat about their items and the local area. Very relaxing atmosphere.

We enjoyed all of the secret courtyards, the mix of retail and restaurants. Would have really liked the library to be open but hey, it's Covid time so we take what we get.

Great place to go on weekend

Carmel-by-the-sea is a charming and remantic seaside destination. The stores along the street are soooo cute, like a storybook. It is a good place to do some window shopping :) You also can find some art galleries on this avenue, but some of them are closed during the pandemic.
