Hard to know which way to look. Beautiful houses on one side and the ocean framed in pink iceplant on the other. Stunning all the way around. You can walk all the way to Asilomar. I love the walk verses drive. You are able to...More

Carmel is such a beautiful town and Scenic Road has my favourite houses. We enjoyed walking and bike riding along here and its a must see when you travel to Carmel.

A great easy walk along beautiful Monterey Bay. If you're lucky you'll see otters, sea lions, dolphins not to mention whales. Walk off those lunch calories gained in one of Pacific Grove's Lighthouse Ave restaurants. Take the trail all the way to Asilomar Beach...spectacular!

This is a lovely walk along a walkway. The water/ beach is on one side and beautiful homes are on the other. It really puts you in the "Carmel mood".

Breathtaking views from some expensively "humble" homes. You must take a stroll along this street as sunset approaches. Recommended.

We enjoyed taking the Scenic Road Walkway along the Carmel shore line. A nice walk with lots of views. Recommend you take this walk when in Carmel.

Have a pleasant uphill the downhill walk through this beachfront Carmel paradise and then realize that some lucky people actually live here. It’s a piece of paradise that you can experience and enjoy.

Be prepared for some good sized hills but well worth every second of it. Come early for parking and stay late for the sunset.

Yes you can drive through the area. The road paralleling the walk has a few parking spaces which may allow the elders to get out and enjoy the view
