Beautifully kept Villa Dei Vescovi with its lovely gardens. Worth visiting with guide and especially if musical concert (Classical music) as the building becomes even more enchanting, with all the lights on at night.

I played a concert here with the Junges Kammerorchester Stuttgart during our 2016 tour to Italy. The views of the Italian countryside from the terraces are fantastic, and the villa itself is big and old and very beautiful. The gallery of glass art is spectacular. This place is a must-see! I can't wait to possibly come back on our tour... More

Incredible frescoes and very well maintained. It's a bit clinical in places but no worse than many publicly run places. Located on a hilltop there are fine views of the surrounding area and the grounds worth a walk. Plenty of places to sit & read - few seats would be a bonus. Souvenir shop & wine shop on site. A... This villa is perhaps nicer as a setting for dinners and other events which are held here in the summer than for a destination on its own. In any case, the location is beautiful with a view of the vineyards on the hillside below and then the inhabited valley stretching out after that. The interior is nice enough though not... More

This is a beautiful Renaissance Villa set in the Euganean Hills of The Veneto. It was built between 1535 and 1542 and was the summer residence of the Bishop of Padua. The Villa's design was entrusted to Veronese painter and architect Giovanni Maria Falconetto and the project supervised by Alvise Cornaro from the Curia in Venice. The frescoes, some quite... More

The house is a beautiful building and the setting is wonderful. The explanations were in Italian and English. There is not a lot to see and do, so a visit here does not take very long. Nevertheless, worth a visit if you are in the area.

You cannot fail to be impressed by this place, with its location high up in the Euganian Hills, it looks very imposing when approached from any direction, but even more so after dark. The accommodation is up several staircases, in the attic of the main building but the views once there do not disappoint. The only drawback is that the... More
